In addition, please remember to bring in one example of an original art piece that you created. This could be a painting, a drawing, or photograph.

Chiaroscuro

Part 1 of the project is to do some research of renaissance or baroque artists who used the Chiaroscuro technique. Here's a list to help get your research started:  Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Hugo van der Goes, Tintoretto, Paolo Veronese, Giovanni Baglione, Adam Elsheimer, Peter Paul Reubens, Gerrit van Honthorst, Dirck van Baburen, Jacob Jordaens, Rembrandt, Gerrit Dou, Gottfried Schalken, Georges de la Tour, Joseph Wright of Derby, Antoine Watteau, Jean-Honore Fragonard, Henry Fuseli, Eugene Delacroix.

November Theme

Your theme for this month is as follows:
Period 1- Night / Long Exposure.
Take a shot of a night scene with a shutter speed longer than 1 second.

Period 5 - Choose a Colour.
Pick a colour (primary or secondary) and take photos of objects that illustrate your colour.

As always, you have the entire month to complete this challenge. Use your time wisely. Don't leave it to that last minute. Submit a Contact Sheet and the Self-Assement on Monday, Dec 3rd - NO Extensions.

Much to do...

There's a lot going on that you need to stay on top of in order to avoid falling behind and/or getting overwhelmed:
  1. Create a new page on your Blog called Photo Paint and upload your 3 images
  2. Create a new page on your Blog called September Theme "hands & eyes" and upload your best/favourite image, the contact sheet and your answers to the Contact Sheet Eval.
  3. Hand in your "Hands & Eyes" contact sheet along with your self evaluation
  4. Hand in the Formalism Photography research assignment
  5. Work on the Ordinary to Extraordinary photo project - due Oct 9th
